What is Who's the Impostor?
A thrilling deduction game where one person is faking it... and it's your job to expose them.
Everyone gets the same innocent-sounding question — except one sneaky impostor who gets a slightly different version. Then, everyone shares their answer and tries to act totally normal.
The impostor has to pretend they understood the question perfectly. Cue awkward answers, nervous laughter, and wild accusations.
“Wait… you said your favorite type of pie is spaghetti?” Busted. Get ready for suspicious glares, dramatic betrayals, and some truly questionable logic.
How to Play
Here’s how you can play Who's the Impostor step by step. This setup works well for remote, hybrid, or in-person teams:
- Prepare a set of simple personal or opinion-based questions.
- Give the same question to all players except one — the impostor gets a blank or different question.
- Players take turns answering the question aloud.
- After one round, players discuss who seems out of place.
- Vote to eliminate the suspected impostor.
- Repeat with a new impostor or end after one round.
How to Win
Winning typically depends on teamwork, strategy, or clever thinking — depending on the nature of the game. Make sure players are aligned on what counts as “winning” before the game begins, whether it's points, guesses, or being the last one standing.
