What is Liar's Bar?

Welcome to the Liar’s Bar, where bluffing isn’t just allowed — it’s the whole point. This card game turns everyone into a smooth-talking, number-fudging, truth-bending scoundrel.

Players take turns making bold claims about how many of a certain card are in play. The others can call their bluff or raise the stakes.

Someone’s lying — the question is, who? A fantastic mix of poker face and party face, where bold liars thrive, and honest folks... well, they’re usually eliminated early.

How to Play

Here’s how you can play Liar's Bar step by step. This setup works well for remote, hybrid, or in-person teams:

  • Distribute virtual or physical cards to players (e.g., numbers or roles).
  • Set a goal (e.g., a certain number or combination to bluff toward).
  • Players take turns stating their claim about their card.
  • Others can call out a lie or pass.
  • If called and bluff is caught, liar is out; if bluff is good, caller is out.
  • Last player standing wins.

How to Win

Winning typically depends on teamwork, strategy, or clever thinking — depending on the nature of the game. Make sure players are aligned on what counts as “winning” before the game begins, whether it's points, guesses, or being the last one standing.
